The 2014 incoming MAAPPS cohort hail from various Canadian provinces, Germany, China, the Philippines, India, Singapore and Australia, and have strong connections to the Republic of Korea, Japan and Vietnam. Our research interests cover an even wider geographic spread.
We share a passion for discussing policy problems facing parts of Asia today and in the future. While focusing on specific issues, we always have an eye on the big picture to answer the questions: What is Asia? How is it changing, and what will societies, cultures, physical environments and politics in the region look like in the years to come?
The 2015 conference promises to be a fantastic opportunity for participants from around the world to join MAAPPS students from the 2014 and earlier cohorts for a weekend to share their research findings as well as their broader experiences of working on, and studying, Asian policy issues.
